To be honest, if you can agro correctly, pits can be done easily with just shadow form and radiation field.

I believe the build most mo/a's are using is something like this...

Deadly Paradox
Shadow Form
radiation field
light of deldrimor
castigation signet
kirin's wrath
symbol of wrath
death's charge
(optional I am unstoppable)

Shadow arts 12, Smiting 12+1+3

I always thought the two wrath skills caused scatter, but some monk friends of mine say no. Oh and you will need candycorn or golden eggs to keep up SF in addition to a con set. Gl

horace has a pretty decent build, i like to throw in viper's defense for extra degen.

the monk/a buildf is just a cry out for someone that doesnt have a sin or ele and wants ot make ectos.

the build is junk way too slow, your always waitingo n energy your looking at abar that takes abotu 60 energy to run every 40seconds, just wayto hard, to maintain energy , yeahi know use a sythe for energy but then your loosing a good 10 energy pools, so use a sword but its just still too slow

you would think smites+undead =fast and its just not there fastest i could do pits with this build ws 18 min d/a fastesti can do is about 10min mesmer 7 min and ele about 9 min, so looking at it just not worth it, and if a perma dies you cant go help out at all

The key in bone pits for speed is agro control. Any build is going to take ages if you are killing small groups, and constantly chasing down the MMs(dead collectors). Spend a few minutes carefully collecting them, with patience you can kill them all at once and save loads of time in the long run - regardless of build. For instance i know several n/a pits with degen builds who get great times with this strategy.

Energy can be offset with castigation signet, personal cons, etc.

As for speed, a passable pits time is about 15min. This is assuming you are joining a med-experienced PUG. Terra of pools should be on plains before you anways to do the 4 horsemen quest. There will be 4 (hopefully) capable terras on your team that can fill in for dead members, so just worry about doing your own area well.

To Eminem, some people are really partial to their main toons. Maybe the OP loves his monk and wants a UW statue for his HoM.

I am not sure if I would want to use SF on a Monk SB probably and I thought most SC monks were Mo/N.

i disagree... I did pits in 9 mins which is 1 minute off normal standard ele time.
